Mon, May 27, 2002 (Tues, May 28 in Oz)This was the day Joy and I decided to just stay home and sit around. She had a few chores to do and I typed on my cemeteries. Then the urge came. Let's go do something. Drove to Diddillibah Cemetery first to redo the first photos. This is a very shady cemetery and we thought our first were much too dark. Then we went to Woombye Cemetery to get the GPS coordinates and photos. Thus far we have visited 14 cemeteries and read 2 of those. The other 12 have been done by Joy previously. We headed to the University of the Sunshine Coast. There is a wildlife reserve there right on the campus and we heard that kangaroo liked to lounge around there. It was true, I was able to take several photos of them. On to Mooloolaba Wharf where we had lunch and walked around to shops, yes, I shopped a bit and then Joy drove me around the coastline a while to see some of the new buildings, ships etc. A large number of newly built, very ritzy, three story homes are across the Mooloolaba River from the wharf. As we leave the wharf, we can see the ocean to our east. There is a peninsula named Point Cartwright out a ways, which adds so much to the horizeh. On the way home, shopped for groceries, post office stop and home. I think we can add one more Roo. |
